Oman Issues Statement on Regional Developments

Emphasizing De-Escalation, Dialogue, and Respect for Sovereignty

Following recent developments involving the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates,
the Sultanate of Oman issued an official statement outlining its position on the situation. The statement
stressed the importance of restraint and avoiding further escalation, warning that heightened tensions
could have broader implications for regional security and stability.

Oman expressed its support for efforts aimed at reducing tensions and containing escalation through
peaceful and diplomatic means. It underscored that dialogue remains the most effective mechanism for
resolving disputes and preventing further deterioration, particularly in a region already facing
multiple political and security challenges.

The statement highlighted the necessity of addressing the root causes of crises through comprehensive
and sustainable political solutions. Oman emphasized that short-term measures or unilateral actions are
unlikely to achieve lasting stability, reaffirming that inclusive political processes are essential for
durable outcomes.

In addition, the Sultanate reiterated the importance of respecting the sovereignty, security, and
territorial integrity of states. It noted that any political settlement must take into account national
unity and the will of the people, especially in situations where tensions carry wider regional
repercussions.

Oman further emphasized the role of regional and international diplomatic efforts in promoting calm
and creating conditions conducive to dialogue. The statement reflected Muscat’s view that coordinated
engagement and political solutions are necessary to preserve stability and prevent disputes from
escalating into broader confrontations.

Through this statement, the Sultanate of Oman reaffirmed its consistent position in support of
de-escalation, political dialogue, and respect for sovereignty as fundamental principles for
addressing regional tensions and maintaining peace and stability.
