The “Wadi Dayqah Dam Carnival” tourism event in the Quriyat province of Muscat
The “Wadi Dayqah Dam Carnival” tourism event in the Quriyat province of Muscat, organized by the Omani Tourism Development Company (Omran), in collaboration with various government and private entities, kicks off this Friday. The carnival will take place in two periods, the first from January 19 to 20 and the second from January 26 to 27.
The carnival aims to promote Wadi Dayqah as a promising tourist destination, enhancing and enriching tourist experiences. It provides opportunities for individuals and families to enjoy a variety of entertainment activities, involving and supporting the local community. The event also highlights Omani products and home projects.
Targeting visitors of all ages, the carnival features diverse entertainment activities, a section for small and medium enterprises, a dedicated children’s corner with various entertaining and interactive games, and a section for selling various Omani cuisines.
The choice of Wadi Dayqah Dam for the event is due to its popularity as a tourist attraction, especially during weekends. It is one of the largest dams in Oman, surrounded by stunning mountainous scenery and offering various water activities that attract wide interest from visitors and adventure seekers.
It’s worth mentioning that Omran has previously organized carnivals in the governorates of Musandam, Al Buraimi, and Dhofar, as part of efforts to enrich domestic tourism across different regions of the Sultanate of Oman.
