In 2025, Oman’s diplomatic engagement reached new heights through a series of royal visits aimed at strengthening political ties, expanding economic cooperation, and enhancing strategic partnerships across multiple regions. These visits reflected Oman’s commitment to dialogue, sustainable development, and international collaboration.
🇳🇱 Netherlands – April 14
The visit to the Netherlands focused strongly on economic cooperation and future-oriented energy initiatives. Meetings were held with CEOs of major companies and prominent business leaders, as well as with the Presidents of the Senate and the House of Representatives. Discussions with the Prime Minister emphasized bilateral relations and shared interests.
Several agreements were signed in the field of liquefied hydrogen, alongside studies on developing infrastructure for the transportation of hydrogen and carbon dioxide—highlighting a mutual commitment to clean energy and sustainability.
🇷🇺 Russia – April 21
In Russia, high-level talks took place with the President, reinforcing diplomatic and strategic ties between the two nations. The visit resulted in the signing of one protocol and nine memoranda of understanding across various sectors.
A significant outcome of this visit was the agreement on mutual visa exemption, facilitating easier travel and people-to-people exchange.
🇩🇿 Algeria – May 5
The royal visit to Algeria centered on political dialogue and economic collaboration. Talks were held with the Algerian President, followed by the signing of one formal agreement and four memoranda of understanding.
In addition, two cooperation memoranda and four executive programs were concluded, further deepening bilateral cooperation in multiple fields.

The visit to Spain concluded the year’s diplomatic engagements on a high note. Ten memoranda of understanding were signed, reflecting wide-ranging cooperation opportunities.
Additionally, both countries agreed on mutual visa exemption for holders of diplomatic, special, and service passports, further facilitating official and institutional collaboration.
