Oman’s Al Jabal Al Akhdar Rose Project Surpasses 65% Completion

The Al Jabal Al Akhdar rose development project in Oman has surpassed 65% completion,
with full delivery expected by the end of 2026. Backed by a budget of OMR 150,000,
the initiative aims to enhance the economic value of the country’s iconic rose crop.

Led by the Agricultural and Fisheries Development Fund in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture,
the project focuses on agricultural expansion, modernization, and industry development.

Key components of the project include:

  • Expanding rose cultivation areas
  • Improving farming techniques
  • Empowering rural women through training in rose-based product manufacturing

With the participation of 120 farmers, the initiative is designed to boost productivity,
support small businesses, and strengthen Oman’s presence in both local and international
markets through high-quality rose-derived products.
