Omani Athletics Team Wins Four Medals in Second Arab Championship for Athletics Under 23

The Omani athletics team achieved remarkable success in the Second Arab Championship for Athletics under 23 years, hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt from 6 to 9 July 2024.

Gold Medal in Hammer Throw

Mubeen Alkindi secured a gold medal at the Arabian Athletics Championships U-23 for hammer throw with a distance of 67.43m, breaking the previous record of 63.15m. Congratulations to Mubeen, his coach Saeed Al Harthi, and the entire Omani Athletics Committee.

Double Golds in 100m and 200m Sprint

Olympic Qualifier Ali Al Balushi won two gold medals in the 100m and 200m sprints. He set a new tournament record in the 100m, finishing in just 10.00 seconds.

Bronze Medal in 800m Run

In the 800m run, Husain Al Farsi won the bronze medal, finishing third with a time of 1:52:34 on the last day of the tournament.
