Oman Showcases Cultural Vision at Venice Biennale 2026

The Sultanate of Oman is strengthening its global cultural presence through its participation in the prestigious Venice Biennale of Art 2026, one of the world’s leading platforms for contemporary art.

The event, taking place from May 9 to November 22, 2026, in Venice, Italy, will bring together artists and cultural institutions from around the world under the theme “In Minor Keys,” which explores nuanced human expression and artistic depth.

Oman’s participation is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, reflecting the country’s commitment to cultural diplomacy and international engagement. The Sultanate will present its vision through a dedicated national pavilion at the renowned Arsenale venue.

The exhibition highlights Oman’s cultural philosophy, emphasizing harmony, balance, and the relationship between humans and their environment. It also aligns with the strategic objectives of Oman Vision 2040, which prioritizes cultural exchange and global collaboration.

Curated by Omani artist Haitham Al Busaidi, the pavilion explores themes of care, attention, and human connection through a calm and reflective artistic approach.

This participation underscores Oman’s growing role in the international art scene while promoting dialogue, diversity, and shared human values through contemporary artistic expression.
