Launch of Youth Programs in Agricultural, Marine, and Technological Fields

The Youth Center, in partnership with the Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Development, has launched a series of entrepreneurial programs aimed at developing youth skills across multiple sectors, including agriculture, marine, logistics, technology, and crafts.

Empowering Youth Across Oman

These youth-focused initiatives target individuals aged 15 to 34 in all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. Each governorate will host programs customized to its local resources and economic potential, ensuring relevant skill development for the participants.

Program Highlights

Agricultural Entrepreneurship Program

Designed to equip young participants with entrepreneurial skills in the agricultural sector, this program introduces youth to promising agricultural business opportunities and sustainable farming practices.

Marine Entrepreneurship Program

This program enhances youth capabilities in the marine sector by leveraging Oman’s rich coastal resources. Participants will explore marine industry opportunities such as aquaculture, fishing, and marine logistics.

Tech Entrepreneurship Program

Focusing on technology-driven innovation, this program empowers young Omanis to invest in their tech skills and transform ideas into scalable tech startups and digital solutions.

Logistics Entrepreneurship Program

Participants are encouraged to launch sustainable logistics ventures. The program covers practical skills like warehousing, supply chain management, and e-commerce logistics.

Crafts Entrepreneurship Program

This initiative helps young entrepreneurs employ artistic and handicraft skills to create innovative businesses while preserving Oman’s cultural heritage and traditional crafts.

Youth Programs for Early Entrepreneurs

A special program has been introduced for younger participants aged 15 to 17, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. This program promotes the concept of self-employment and entrepreneurial thinking from an early age.

Youth Camp Program: Product Design & Packaging

As part of diversifying its initiatives, the Youth Camp Program focuses on product design and packaging. Participants gain essential skills aligned with modern market demands, preparing them for real-world business challenges.

Program Reach and Impact

By the end of June 2025, the number of beneficiaries from the Youth Center programs reached an impressive 56,953 young men and women across Oman.
