Madayn Signs OMR 3.5 Million Investment to Establish Pesticides Factory in Al Mudhaibi Industrial City

The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) has signed a new investment agreement worth OMR 3.5 million to establish an agricultural and public health pesticides factory at
[Al Mudhaibi Industrial City] in
[North Al Sharqiyah Governorate]

The agreement was signed between Madayn and
[Aladdin Energy Company], marking the 13th investment contract within the industrial city. With this latest signing, cumulative investments in Al Mudhaibi Industrial City have reached OMR 15 million, reflecting growing investor confidence in the region.

Infrastructure Development Underway

Madayn recently awarded the contract for implementing the first phase of infrastructure works, which are expected to commence by the end of February 2026. The development will cover approximately 2.5 million square meters and include:

  • Internal road networks
  • Water and sewage systems
  • Street lighting
  • Water storage tanks
  • Security fencing and surveillance systems
  • Ready-built industrial units (500 sqm each) within the Madayn Entrepreneurship Complex

Additionally, a dedicated services building will be constructed to house the city’s management offices, the “Masar” one-stop investor service center, and meeting facilities to streamline business operations.

Strategic Location Enhances Investment Appeal

Al Mudhaibi Industrial City benefits from its strategic location along the main highway linking the
[Special Economic Zone at Duqm] with Oman’s key ports and border crossings. Approximately 100,000 square meters have been allocated for logistics investments, positioning the city as a promising logistics hub.

Dedicated zones will also be allocated for agricultural investments in coordination with the
[Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources], supporting food security and agro-industrial activities.

Focus on Renewable Energy and Knowledge-Based Industries

The industrial city will prioritize renewable energy projects and knowledge-based industries in partnership with educational institutions and relevant private sector entities.

Madayn has confirmed that Al Mudhaibi Industrial City will offer competitive incentives and exemptions to attract both local and international investors.

The establishment of this fully serviced industrial hub is expected to accelerate economic growth in North Al Sharqiyah, create job opportunities, and strengthen Oman’s industrial diversification strategy in line with [Oman Vision 2040].
