His Majesty the Sultan’s visit Iran comes at the invitation of the Iranian President, Ibrahim Raisi, and it also comes almost a year after Raisi visits the Sultanate of Oman, and the conclusion of 12 memorandums of understanding and cooperation agreements between the two countries in May of last year, indicating that the visit also comes after a development in Iranian-Saudi relations, in which the Sultanate played a fundamental role.
