Oman’s aviation services provider, Transom, has officially launched its operations in Tanzania, marking a significant milestone in its international expansion strategy. The move reflects the company’s ambition to strengthen its global presence and tap into emerging aviation markets, particularly across the African continent.

The company began its operations in early April 2026, offering services across several major airports in Tanzania. These include air cargo handling, ground handling services, and passenger hospitality solutions, all designed to deliver integrated operational support for airlines and enhance the overall travel experience.

Transom’s expansion into Tanzania follows comprehensive market research and analysis, which identified the country as a promising aviation hub. With ongoing infrastructure development, increasing passenger traffic, and a favorable investment climate, Tanzania presents strong growth opportunities for aviation service providers.

By entering this market, Transom aims to contribute to the development of the aviation sector in Africa, supporting the growing demand for air travel and facilitating trade connectivity across the region.

The company has reaffirmed its commitment to international standards in safety, operational efficiency, and service excellence. Backed by skilled professionals and advanced technologies, Transom is positioning itself as a reliable partner for airlines and aviation stakeholders worldwide.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO Nasser bin Ahmed Al Shurji highlighted that the launch represents a key step in Transom’s global journey. He emphasized the company’s focus on delivering high-quality integrated solutions, building strategic partnerships, and enhancing passenger experiences in line with global benchmarks.

This expansion underscores Transom’s long-term vision of establishing a sustainable and competitive presence in international aviation markets, while supporting the growth and modernization of the global air transport industry.
