In a world teeming with fluctuations and churning with political waves, the Sultanate of Oman emerges as an exceptional model of gentleness, neutrality, integrity, tolerance, forgiveness, forbearance, peace, restraint, and pardon; with the “Omani demeanor” that is unmatched no matter how others conspire, and with peerless wisdom in dealing with the most complex files.
At a time of extreme sensitivity and importance on both domestic and foreign fronts, the honorable Council of Ministers met today, Monday, June 15, 2026, chaired by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik the Great – may God protect and preserve him – to dot the i’s and cross the t’s, and to remind of the essence of Omani distinctiveness, deeply rooted in history.
Indeed, His Majesty’s praise – may God preserve him – of the “Omani demeanor” serves as a badge of pride and a clear message to Omanis internally: the necessity of holding onto this brilliance and preserving it as a way of life, passing it down as an inheritance from generation to generation. This is especially crucial in a world teeming with misleading and destructive ideas, at a time when we are most in need of remaining steadfast in our grip on Oman and what it has produced for both domestic and foreign spheres – an unmatched and unparalleled exception.
This demeanor is not merely a garment we wear; rather, it is the legacy of Omanis who traversed the world with their sails, tolerance, morals, nobility, and rising above petty matters. They earned the love and respect of peoples – as testified by their noble Prophet, who came to perfect noble character.
In the face of systematic media campaigns buzzing on social media and other biased outlets, and by some who were paid off, Omanis have remained steadfast with pride and firmness, like the Eastern and Western Hajar mountains, and like Jebel Shams and Jebel Akhdar. They responded with composure, rose above with awareness and by prioritizing the national interest, thus deserving the sublime approval and royal praise – the ultimate pride.
In a gesture of deserved loyalty, His Majesty extended a great tribute and commendation to the military and security apparatuses that defend the nation’s borders, as an extension of the legacy of the great founding ancestors who fought off invaders – Portuguese, Persians, those with destructive ideologies, and others – and protected their borders with their geography and history.
They relied on the fact that defending Oman was never by arms alone, but by ideas, wisdom, and demeanor recorded in the conscience of history – a truth that will inevitably be realized by all those whose eyes are clouded by political twilight, even if after some time.
The meeting was not limited to political vision, but extended to sublime directives that shape the future. These are embodied in the historic decision to allocate 11 additional seats for women in the Shura Council (one seat per governorate), enhancing their active participation in decision-making, along with His Majesty’s directive to introduce a package of facilitations to support national economic sectors, especially small and medium enterprises, and to establish a Government Assets Authority – alongside other directives that will yield fruitful results, God willing.
May God protect great Oman, and bestow upon its loyal people elevation, prosperity, righteous character, and noble demeanor. And may He preserve His Majesty the Great Sultan as a treasure and leader for its renewed renaissance.
