Digital registration on the “Naql” platform provides local couriers with clear commercial frameworks, already supporting over 40 homegrown delivery businesses and enabling 900 young Omanis to thrive in micro-logistics.
Silent Rides Toward Net-Zero Emissions
In close cooperation with the Oman Zero Neutrality Center, Salalah is pioneering the transition from petrol delivery bikes to electric motorcycles. As logistics specialist Thuraya Al-Wahaibi explained, the initiative combines accessible financing for startups with strategic battery-swap hubs along delivery corridors. Monitored via the “Mizan” carbon platform, the transition directly advances Oman’s 2050 net-zero targets while cutting operational costs for couriers.
Local Content Powering Youth Enterprises
