Second Edition of Middle East Space Conference Kicks Off in Oman
Muscat, Oman – The second edition of the Middle East Space Conference begins tomorrow, Monday, at the Oman Exhibition and Convention Center, and will run for three days. The conference is jointly organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) and Novaspace, following the strong success of its inaugural edition.
The opening ceremony of the conference will be held under the patronage of His Highness Dr. Kamel bin Fahd Al Said, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
A Growing Regional Platform for the Space Sector
Speaking ahead of the event, His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Amer Al-Shaythani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology, stated that the organization of the second edition reflects the positive outcomes and momentum achieved during the first conference.
He noted that the conference is expected to attract more than 450 senior decision-makers, representing over 190 entities from more than 20 countries, highlighting its growing international reach and influence within the global space ecosystem.

According to His Excellency, the Middle East Space Conference will bring together a distinguished group of government leaders, space agencies, senior executives from the space industry, investors, innovation pioneers, and academic institutions. The event aims to contribute to shaping the next phase of growth for the space sector in the Middle East, while serving as a high-level platform for strategic dialogue, knowledge exchange, and partnership building.

Dr. Al-Shaythani emphasized that the conference further strengthens the Sultanate of Oman’s position as a key regional gateway for space applications, infrastructure development, and investment attraction. The event aligns with Oman’s broader vision to play a pivotal role in advancing space technologies and services across the region.
