Joint Statement by the Sultan of Oman and the King of Jordan

In a recent joint statement, His Majesty the Sultan of Oman and His Majesty the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan expressed their mutual pride in the enduring historical ties between their nations. The two leaders underscored their commitment to further enhancing cooperation across various sectors to foster greater integration and mutual benefit.

Highlighting the importance of ongoing bilateral collaboration, the monarchs emphasized the need to implement existing agreements, memoranda of understanding, and executive programs between Oman and Jordan. They stressed the significance of translating these agreements into tangible actions that serve the interests of both countries and contribute to their shared goals.

Moreover, both leaders reiterated the central significance of the Palestinian cause. They called for a just solution that puts an end to the occupation and upholds the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. The monarchs welcomed recent decisions by Norway, Ireland, and Spain to recognize the Palestinian state, seeing this as a crucial step towards advancing peace in the region.

In their joint statement, the Sultan of Oman and the King of Jordan also highlighted the importance of increased communication, collaboration, and exchange of visits between relevant entities in both countries. They emphasized the potential for further cooperation and the pursuit of broader horizons for mutual benefit and regional stability.
