Oman Airports Shine in Global Recognition for Customer Experience Excellence
Oman’s aviation sector, a key focus of Oman Vision 2040, has been making significant strides in recent years towards enhancing the air transportation infrastructure to and from the Sultanate of Oman. This progress, coupled with Oman’s strategic location among the nations of the world, has garnered global recognition for its airports.
Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport have achieved remarkable success on the global stage, with both airports receiving accolades for their outstanding customer experience. This recognition stems from passenger evaluations as part of the renowned Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards, which highlight the best airports in terms of customer satisfaction.
The ASQ program, which this year saw participation from over 400 airports worldwide, is distinguished by its rigorous and scientific methodology. It relies on direct research conducted through surveys with passengers at the airport on the same travel day, capturing their satisfaction levels in real-time. The surveys cover more than 30 performance indicators, providing a comprehensive understanding of the passenger airport experience.
Salalah Airport, in addition to its overall excellence in customer experience, also received awards for staff dedication, smooth procedures, enjoyable experience, and cleanliness. These accolades reflect Oman’s unwavering commitment to excellence in airport services and its alignment with the vision set forth by His Majesty Sultan Haitham.
The ASQ methodology is renowned for its robustness, enabling statistically significant conclusions and unparalleled insights into the passenger experience. Oman’s airports’ success in this global recognition underscores their dedication to providing world-class services and their ongoing efforts to integrate with the global aviation community.
As Oman continues to position itself as a hub for air travel in the region, the recognition received by Muscat International Airport and Salalah Airport serves as a testament to the Sultanate’s commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences and setting new standards of excellence in the aviation industry.
