As Oman embarks on the next chapter of its remarkable growth journey, OIA stands as a steadfast partner, dedicated to transforming the nation into a beacon of progress and prosperity.Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries (OQ8) OGB is a major undertaking that has transformed the Duqm economic zone. The project encompasses a crude oil storage facility in Ras Markaz, an 81-kilometer-long crude oil transmission pipeline connecting Ras Markaz to the Duqm Refinery, and a refinery with a capacity of 230,000 barrels per day. The refinery features ten main processing units that produce diesel, jet fuel, liquefied petroleum gas, sulfur, and petroleum coke. Situated in Duqm, Al Wusta Governorate, the project represents a significant investment of 3.5 billion OMR.

The Ras Markaz Crude Oil Storage project is a strategic initiative that enhances Oman’s oil storage capabilities. With a total storage capacity of up to 200 million barrels, the project’s first phase provides 26.7 million barrels of storage. Out of this initial capacity, 5.2 million barrels are allocated to the Duqm Refinery (OQ8). Located in Duqm, Al Wusta Governorate, the Ras Markaz Crude Oil Storage project represents an investment of 202 million OMR.

The Duqm Integrated Power and Water Project (DIPWP) is a significant initiative that caters to the electricity and water requirements of OQ 8 (Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries). With an installed capacity of 326 MW, the power station generates electricity, while the desalination plant produces 36,000 cubic meters of water per day. To meet future demands, the project’s seawater intake facilities have a supply capacity of up to 1.5 million cubic meters per day. Situated in Duqm, Al Wusta Governorate, the DIPWP represents an investment of 196 million OMR.

The “Rabt” Project, a strategic initiative in Duqm, comprises the first phase of a comprehensive transmission network upgrade. Spanning 660 kilometers, the project features 400-megawatt transmission lines and five main stations strategically located in Nihayda, Barik, Suwaihat, Duqm, and Mahout. This project aims to enhance the efficiency and integration of Oman’s National Electricity Transmission Network, playing a pivotal role in bolstering the reliability and safety of the country’s electric energy supply. Situated in Al Wusta Governorate, the “Rabt” Project represents an investment of 183 million OMR.

The Khuwayma Shrimp Farm Project, established in Jalan Bani Buali, South Sharqiya Governorate, represents a significant investment of 14 million OMR. Built on an expansive 200-hectare site, the project encompasses 126 aquariums, including a 48-aquarium shrimp nursery unit. With an operational capacity of 4,000 tons per year, the Khuwayma Shrimp Farm Project is poised to make a substantial contribution to Oman’s aquaculture sector.

The first phase of Madinat Al Irfan East, a mixed-use urban development project in Muscat Governorate, represents an investment of 47 million OMR. This initial phase encompasses the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, the JW Marriott Hotel Muscat, and the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
