Sultan Haitham Receives Botswana President in Muscat
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received His Excellency President Duma Gideon Boko of the Republic of Botswana at Al Barakah Palace today, marking the occasion of the President’s working visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
At the outset of the meeting, His Majesty extended a warm welcome to President Boko and his accompanying delegation, expressing his wishes for a pleasant and successful visit. President Boko, in turn, conveyed his great pleasure at visiting Oman and meeting His Majesty.
The two leaders held an official session of talks during which they reviewed bilateral relations and explored avenues for enhancing cooperation across various sectors. Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships in ways that serve the mutual interests of both friendly nations.
The meeting was attended on the Omani side by His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs; Sultan bin Salem Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority; Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals; and Mulham bin Bashir Al Jaraf and Munir bin Ali Al Muniri, Deputy Chairmen of the Oman Investment Authority.
From the Botswana side, attendees included the Head of Military Intelligence and Advisor to the President for Military Affairs, the Minister of Presidential Investments, the Special Representative of the President, and several senior officials.
