Oman and Qatar have signed two memoranda of understanding (MOUs) on youth and new school buses, signaling their commitment to strengthening ties and cooperation between the two countries. The MOUs were signed during the Omani-Qatari Joint Committee ministerial meeting in Muscat on Thursday, November 3, 2023.
The MOU on youth cooperation aims to enhance cooperation in the fields of youth exchange, youth leadership training, and youth empowerment. This will provide opportunities for young people in both countries to learn from each other, develop their skills, and build lasting relationships.
The MOU on new school buses aims to facilitate the purchase and exchange of new school buses between Oman and Qatar. This will help to improve the quality of transportation for students in both countries and ensure that they have access to safe and reliable transportation to and from school.
In addition to signing the MOUs, the two sides also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in other areas, such as trade, investment, tourism, and education. They also discussed regional and international issues of common interest.
