Oman and Iran Sign Agreements to Boost Investment and Cooperation

Memoranda of understanding and two agreements signed at the presidential building in Tehran during a meeting between the leaders of the two nations.
– His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said of Oman and His Excellency Dr. Ibrahim Raisi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, discussed various aspects of their countries’ historical friendship relations, as well as ways to expand cooperation and coordination for the benefit of their respective nations and peoples.
– In addition to the discussion, the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran signed four agreements, including two memoranda of understanding and two agreements, related to investment promotion, exchange of investment opportunities, development and investment in special economic zones and free zones, sharing of oil information, and a joint study of the Hengam-Bukha field project.

This agreement marks a significant step forward in the bilateral relations between Oman and Iran, and is expected to bring mutual benefits to both countries. The signing of these agreements demonstrates the commitment of both nations to strengthening their cooperation and coordination in various fields, including investment, development, and energy. The joint study of the Hengam-Bukha field project is particularly significant, as it will allow the two countries to explore opportunities for collaboration in the oil and gas sector. The agreements are expected to contribute to the expansion of trade and investment between Oman and Iran, and to further enhance their historical ties of friendship and cooperation.
