11 January
11 January, on this glorious day, Oman’s renaissance was renewed with the access of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik the rein of power, to lead the nation in the direction set by his late predecessor, Sultan Qaboos bin Said. Since assuming the reins of power, His Majesty, may God bless him, has called upon the loyal citizens of Oman to continue preserving the achievements of the renaissance and to work “for the progression of this country and to elevate it to a better life” and to launch a vision with clear goals – “Oman Vision 2040” – that includes various aspects and meets the level of aspirations.
His Majesty the Sultan – may God protect him – created a comprehensive view of different aspects where legislation was prepared, such as the basic system of the state, the provincial system, municipal affairs, mechanisms, and action programs, such as the “Oman 2040” vision that works to achieve priorities in various fields, including health, education, and research. Scientific, innovation, economic diversification, financial sustainability, provincial development, and governance of the state’s administrative apparatus.
The last Sultan Qaboos built a “solid renaissance” over 49 years in several fields and established the foundations of an economic and social system based on justice.” The best way to immortalize his achievements is to preserve what he accomplished and build on it for the good of Oman, its loyal ruler, and loyal citizens.
