Saudi Delegation Explores Oman’s Adventure Tourism Experience

The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in the Sultanate of Oman is hosting a high-level delegation from the Saudi Tourism Authority, accompanied by a number of leading tourism companies from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The visit is taking place from May 25 to 28, 2025, with the aim of exploring Oman’s experience in organizing adventure tourism activities and fostering the exchange of expertise between Omani and Saudi tourism stakeholders.

Both Oman and Saudi Arabia are considered top destinations for international adventure seekers, thanks to their diverse geographical and geological landscapes. The visit included detailed presentations highlighting Oman’s experience in managing and regulating adventure tourism. Omani adventure tourism companies shared their success stories, while both sides engaged in discussions to exchange knowledge and practical insights, maximizing the benefits of growing cross-border tourism flows.

As part of the program, a special exhibition was organized, showcasing Omani companies specialized in adventure tourism. The exhibition featured the latest equipment and tools used in the field, with an emphasis on compliance with international safety and security standards.

The visit also included field tours to several prominent tourist destinations, including Jabal Al Akhdar (Green Mountain) and other iconic locations in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, offering guests a first-hand look at Oman’s unique adventure tourism offerings.

This visit reflects the strategic partnership between Oman and Saudi Arabia and aims to enhance regional cooperation in the tourism sector. It supports the shared goal of developing the adventure tourism segment, which continues to attract growing interest both regionally and globally.
