Rwandan President Arrives in Oman on Official Visit and Departs After Fruitful Talks
Muscat – His Excellency President Paul Kagame of the Republic of Rwanda arrived in the Sultanate of Oman on a two-day official visit, where he was received by a number of senior officials, reflecting the strong ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Upon arrival, His Excellency proceeded to Al Maamoura Palace, where he held an official meeting with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation across various sectors, in addition to exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
During the visit, the two sides held an official session of talks focusing on prospects for economic and investment cooperation, particularly in the fields of transport, logistics, technology, and energy. The discussions resulted in the signing of two agreements and several memoranda of understanding aimed at strengthening partnership between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Rwanda.
As part of the visit program, His Majesty the Sultan hosted an official dinner in honor of the visiting President and his accompanying delegation, underscoring the depth of bilateral relations and the shared commitment to expanding cooperation.
This visit comes amid growing ties between the two countries in recent years, supported by the exchange of official visits and the activation of joint agreements, contributing to enhanced economic and trade cooperation.
At the conclusion of the visit, His Excellency President Paul Kagame departed the Sultanate of Oman following what was described as a fruitful visit, laying the foundations for a new phase of strategic partnership and opening broader horizons for cooperation across various sectors.
