Oman Calls for De-Escalation and Commitment to Signed Agreements Amid Regional Tensions

The Sultanate of Oman has issued a formal statement condemning recent military attacks targeting the territories of Bahrain and Kuwait, alongside strikes on commercial vessels from Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Muscat reaffirmed its solidarity with neighboring Gulf states, supporting all efforts to protect their security, stability, and national sovereignty.

Oman warned that the escalation of military tensions in the region directly threatens maritime safety, the flow of international trade, and global energy supplies. The government reiterated its rejection of actions that undermine state security or endanger civilian and commercial shipping corridors.

Muscat called on all parties to exercise restraint, halt further escalation, and prioritize dialogue. The statement urged full adherence to signed agreements and diplomatic solutions to preserve regional peace and security.
