Muscat –
His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs,
received Mr. Zhai Jun, the Special Envoy of the Chinese Government for Middle East Affairs.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the strong bilateral relations between the
Sultanate of Oman and the People’s Republic of China. They reaffirmed their commitment
to further strengthening cooperation and advancing joint projects across various sectors.
The discussions also covered regional and international developments. Both parties emphasized
their support for dialogue and diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace, stability, and
the peaceful resolution of conflicts. They further highlighted the importance of upholding
international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter, as well as ensuring the
safety and freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from both countries, including Oman’s
Undersecretary for Political Affairs and China’s Ambassador to Oman.
