Summary of Royal Decrees Issued by His Majesty the Sultan
First Royal Decree
His Majesty the Sultan, the Most Exalted (May God protect him and preserve him), issued a royal decree amending certain provisions of the Basic Statute of the State. The first article stipulates that the phrase “Public Prosecution” shall be replaced, wherever it appears in the Basic Statute of the State, with the phrase “Public Attorney’s Office.”
Second Royal Decree
The second decree concerns amending the title of the Public Prosecution. Its first article stipulates that the title “Public Prosecution” shall be amended to “Public Prosecution.” The second article provides for replacing the phrases “Public Prosecution” and “Public Prosecutor” with the phrases “Public Prosecution” and “Public Prosecutor” wherever they appear in laws and Sultani decrees.
Third Royal Decree
The third decree appoints Nasir bin Khmis bin Muhammad Al-Sawaei as Public Prosecutor.
Fourth Royal Decree
The fourth decree concerns the classification of public utility status for infrastructure projects. This includes the design and implementation of the dual carriageway and the Barka connection in the South Al Batinah Governorate, as well as the Suwayq connection and an overpass bridge in the North Al Batinah Governorate.
