His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Arrives in Botswana on State Visit

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, may God protect and preserve him, arrived today in the Republic of Botswana on a state visit, marking a significant step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly nations.

Official Reception at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport

Upon arrival at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport in Gaborone, His Majesty was received by His Excellency President Duma Gideon Boko, President of the Republic of Botswana, along with senior officials.

His Excellency extended a warm welcome to His Majesty and the accompanying official delegation, expressing his great pleasure at this distinguished visit. A 21-gun salute was fired in honor of His Majesty.

National Anthems and Guard of Honor

His Majesty the Sultan and His Excellency the President then ascended the dais of honor, where the Royal Anthem of the Sultanate of Oman and the National Anthem of Botswana were played.

His Majesty subsequently inspected the Guard of Honor in a ceremonial display reflecting the strong ties between the two nations.

Following the formal ceremony, His Majesty shook hands with members of the Botswanan welcoming party, while His Excellency the President greeted members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty.
