In her last tweet on May 16, she said, “We leave the main camp. 5,300 m for the second camp directly, 6,400 m as the final stage of climbing to the summit and from it to the third and fourth camp will be in about seven days. If the weather conditions as expected, May 22 will be the night of arrival at the summit of Everest.”

He Who Follows His Dreams

“A few years ago, just like everyone else, it was the Omani dream to get a well-paid job, own a house, expensive car, and start a family. Considering the fact that I have graduated as a Mechanical Engineer, as well as I managed to get a well-paid job that I wished for, working in oil field yet having weeks of rotational shifts between work and days off, I was living the dream” Saleh Al Khanjari said as he briefly introduces himself. He continues telling his story by sharing the opportunity of travelling for the first time ever to Europe for approximately one month after graduating. “ I just wanted to count the countries I have visited” He adds. “ I was scared at first, the idea of travelling alone, being in a new country, sleeping in a dormitory with the same size as my bedroom and with 10 strangers, carpooling with people that I don’t know their intentions” He explains.
